What is Cryptogrammic?
Cryptogrammic Analytics is a cannabis retail intelligence platform. We decode the hidden signals buried in dispensary menu data — pricing shifts, distribution gaps, competitive movements, stock disruptions — and surface them as actionable intelligence for brands, manufacturers, and operators.
The name says it all: crypto (hidden) + grammic (written, recorded). The data is already out there, published on thousands of dispensary menus every day. Most of it goes unread. We read all of it.
What we believe
The cannabis industry runs on intuition and anecdote. “I heard Store X dropped our products.” “I think our competitor is undercutting us in Oregon.” Most brands find out about market shifts weeks or months after they happen.
We believe the data already exists to answer these questions daily. Every dispensary menu is a public record of what’s on shelf, what it costs, and what’s missing. The challenge isn’t access — it’s translation.
We built Cryptogrammic to be the translator.
How it works
Every day, we scrape menus from 10,000+ dispensaries across 35+ states. We normalize the data — resolving product names, deduplicating stores, mapping brands — and load it into a purpose-built analytics engine.
The result: seven intelligence dashboards that answer the questions brands actually care about.
- Where am I? Distribution coverage — which stores carry your products, where you’re gaining or losing doors.
- Am I priced right? MSRP compliance — who’s pricing above or below your targets, and by how much.
- What am I missing? Out-of-stock tracking — products that vanished from shelves, with restock detection.
- Who’s my competition? Brand vs. brand comparisons — pricing, assortment, door count, trend lines.
- Are my promos working? Discount depth analysis correlated with sell-through velocity.
- What’s changing? Market trends — category shifts, pricing movements, brand emergence.
